Lions Football Club is excited to welcome on board, world leader in food safety and quality assurance, Merieux NutriSciences. This is an exciting partnership for the club as they look to get involved as our front of jersey sponsor for our National Premier League (NPL) and Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) sides from 2019 for the next 4 years.

Merieux is a market leader and is currently in 25 countries around the world and employees over 7,000 staff around d the world. Merieux are the laboratory of choice for some of the world’s largest brands as they also help with Research and Development of many new products to hit the market.

Lions FC General Manager, Rob Scanlon was excited by the partnership and said “To have such a global brand show an interest in our club is a sign we are doing things the right way. The discussions to date with Merieux have been extremely positive as they have committed to helping educate our junior players of the healthy eating habits, correct sports nutrition and plenty of other topics.  Merieux will have a number of information sessions during the season with some of the leading nutritionists in their company to come and help our players get the most out of there ability.

Merieux NutriSciences are also keen to kick start the relationship and said “This is an exciting time and we  believe the path to community well-being begins by fostering environments that help children and family adopt life-long healthy habits, and Lions Football Club will help play an integral part in this.’

Through the support of the Merieux Foundation, who has one of the objectives of fighting childhood obesity internationally, we aim to work together in getting as many kids active as possible and we will have a number of initiatives during the season to drive this not just in our club but also in our community.
