A razor-sharp performance saw our Lions Men strike six past the Wolves in a thoroughly dominant 6-2 showcase at Luxury Paints Stadium
When you’ve had about five shots in the opening two minutes, you know you’re in for a goal fest. In front of another lively home crowd, we wasted no time hunting the opener.
More than fifteen shots across the first half as we carved open the Wolves’ defence. Almost every minute spent in their half. And it took a counterattack at breakneck speed to pick the lock. Harvey Pope picked Jerson’s run, and his lethal finish into the bottom left corner sent the crowd into ruptures!

It was a crucial goal to establish our dominance before Wolves had a chance to regroup at the break. Thoroughly deserved for how electrifying we had been across the opening forty-five. And to give us an even bigger edge, Mitch Hore forced the ball over the line in the last kick of the half to make it two-nil.

We maintained a high tempo after the break. Alex Fiechtner bagged his customary goal on the hour mark, and Wolves responded straight from kickoff with their first goal against us in four matches.
Ten minutes later, a brilliant header from Wolves sank into the top right corner from a set-piece, and Jerson Lagos struck five with a lethal long-range effort into the bottom left corner!

We wrapped up the game with a thunderous Shaun Carlos half-volley, and Wolves signed off with a goal to make it 6-2.
