Our Lions Men continued their fine form, making it three NPL wins on the bounce with a classy 4-0 showcase over Magic United
Another strong display from our Lions Men, who made it three in three with an emphatic performance at home.
Luke Broderick saw an early chance saved, drawing a save with a powerful curling effort from distance. Plenty of chances followed, and in an intense wave of pressure inside the Magic United box, several shots were blocked, with Harvey Pope denied at the back post. A handball in the midst of the action saw our Lions Men awarded a penalty.
Alex Fiechtner made zero error, burying his strike into the bottom right corner!

Jackson Hart-Phillips skewed a sharp volley across the goal at the back post before Jacson Riley was called upon to make a brilliant bicycle-kick-denying save at point-blank range! A close chance saw Alex surge down the left before arrowing his effort across the goal, and Rahmat Akbari tried his luck from distance, forcing a central save.
Right on half-time, to give our Lions Men an added layer of security, Alex Fiechtner doubled our advantage with a delicate, well-placed header over the keeper from the back post!

We maintained control in a physical second half, continuing to carve out promising chances while mitigating any threat from Magic.
Luke Broderick showed his pace with a rapid run down the left flank to beat his fullback. The ball played into Alex Fiechtner was a good one, but his shot was saved by the keeper.
On the hour mark, Alex Fiechtner wrapped up the tie with a well-merited hattrick. A classy finish inside the near post!

We continued to dictate the tempo, creating some stunning passages as we looked for a fourth. Shaun Carlos guided a shot wide after a great combination on the right, and Tuquiri Beckett forced a save at close range after Jackson Hart-Phillips nodded a header into the centre of the box!
With ten minutes remaining, Cher Deng scored the final goal of the game to make it four. It was Zane North’s header that hit the target, but an alleged touch off the back has opened it up for debate. Cher certainly fooled the media team with his celebration on the night!
