A penalty apiece saw our 10-player Lions Women share the points at Luxury Paints Stadium
It was a must-win game at Luxury Paints Stadium as our Lions Women looked to move within one point of league leaders Gold Coast Knights.
The challenge was well and truly set when Libby Cybulski was shown a second yellow card on the stroke of half-time, and we were reduced to ten.
We entered the half level.
Quickly after the break, Anna Soulsby gave us the lead from the penalty spot. Twenty minutes later, Gold Coast United equalised with a penalty of their own.
We fought hard for the breakthrough, which wouldn’t come, and finished the game with a frustrating 1-1 draw.
