A surgical performance on the road saw our Lions Women fire six goals past Souths Strikers to keep our strong form going
Immediate intention from our Lions Women. Anna Soulsby missed the mark by inches inside the opening five minutes, before Scarlett Premerl struck the crossbar!
After the tenth minute, Abbey Lloyd’s header was miss-kicked over the crossbar and into the roof of the net to break the deadlock! Anna Soulsby sent a powerful long-range volley towards the roof of the net, but was denied with a fingertip save!
Evelyn Calhoon, Anna Soulsby, and Daisey Bateman all forced sharp saves inside the opening twenty-five, before Anna at last found the goal with a brilliant half-volley!

On the stroke of half-time, Souths recovered a goal, and we entered the break with a slender lead to extend.
With immediacy after the break, Abbey Lloyd flicked a glorious glancing header into the right corner!

A beautiful moment saw Mackenzie Nielsen return to the field for the first time in 18 months, and Amy Gunston got on the scoresheet with a leaping header following Emileigh Bowman’s cross!
Another slick Em Bowman delivery was this time forced into the back of the net after being attacked by Abbey Lloyd in the centre of the box.
To wrap up three points in style, Anna Soulsby surged in behind, finishing calmly under the keeper to make it 6-1.
