Our Lions Women hit five unanswered strikes past Capalaba Bulldogs in a golden showcase at Luxury Paints Stadium
A brilliant week for our Lions Women, following our midweek success on the Sunshine Coast, saw us victorious again.
We got the wheel turning early, with an unreal aerial ball from Abbey Lloyd (and a massive error from the Capalaba keeper) allowed Anna Soulsby to run onto the ball with an open net to finish!

Our Lions Women doubled their lead on the half-hour mark, this time with fortune providing us favour. Evelyn Calhoon unleashed a powerful effort from range, which clattered off the crossbar and into the path of Abbey Lloyd to fire into the back of the net!
It was 2-0 at the break.
The second half started with the same intensity, and Amy Gunston made it three with a penalty on the hour to effectively put the game to bed.
Since we hadn’t seen any certified bangers yet, Scarlett Premerl stepped up to fill the gap. Taking the ball in stride from thirty yards out, Scarlett advanced diagonally before unleashing a beautiful curling strike into the top right corner!

A great spell of possession in the final moments, and Shianna Singh finished the game off with a sharp first-time strike from distance to make it five! An excellent, cohesive display from our Lions Women, who take back-to-back wins after a strong week of football!
