Lions FC NPL Men’s Head Coach Darren Sime has announced that he will step down from his role at the conclusion of the 2025 season for personal reasons.
“It has been an honour to serve as Head Coach of my childhood club, and I am deeply grateful for the trust and support I have received over the past six years. I depart feeling sated and content.
Together, we have embodied the club’s culture, played our way, and celebrated some memorable victories. I am exceptionally proud of our accomplishments and even prouder of the way in which we went about it. I will miss the sense of connection and belonging, and I am thankful for the unwavering commitment of all players, staff, volunteers, and supporters throughout my tenure. However, I now look forward to spending more time with my equally devoted family.
In the meantime, as my stint draws to a close, my focus remains. I am fiercely committed to finishing the season with the success we are all accustomed to, whilst ensuring a smooth transition to our new era. I am confident the club’s best days are still ahead.
Thank you for allowing me to contribute to the rich history of this incredible club.
Darren”
We would like to thank Darren for his remarkable contributions to Lions FC, and we look forward to finishing the 2025 season on a powerful note. Three titles still to fight for; this era isn’t over yet!
