KPS R3: Annihilation In Redlands

ALEX FIECHTNER NETS ANOTHER HATTRICK AS OUR LIONS MEN DISMANTLE REDLANDS 8-1 ON THE ROAD

We didn’t waste a minute launching into gear at Redlands United Grounds. A quick attack that started down the right flank saw Trent Millard direct a bouncing cross under the keeper from close range. His second goal in Lions colours!

The early goal sobered up the hosts, and for the next ten minutes, they made it increasingly difficult to move the ball in the final third, recovering possession and attempting to play out slowly from the back.

We maintained our pressure in the wider areas, and it was Alex Fiechtner who broke the brief resistance with a slicing run down the right channel and a measured chip over the keeper!

Two minutes later, Luke Broderick slotted home from close range to make it three. Another two minutes and Shaun Carlos made it four.

The chances kept coming as Redlands insisted on playing out from the back, and our fifth goal came just after the 30th minute when Alex Fiechtner cut inside and won a penalty. He buried his spot-kick into the left side of goal, and we took a five-nil lead into the break.

Very quickly into the second half, and Alex Fiechtner scored his second hattrick of the season. Cutting inside with precision from the right, Alex guided a curling effort around the keeper and into the opposite side of goal.

A triple change saw Tuquiri Beckett enter the field, and the young striker delivered with immediate effect. Arriving at the back post, Beckett slotted home our seventh goal of the afternoon.

Redlands United recovered a goal through Kealan Crawford.

Andy Pengelly made sure he didn’t miss out on the action, guiding a brilliant first-time effort into the back of the net after a fantastic move that originated down the left channel!

We created several strong chances in the final quarter. James Enticknap almost scored an audacious 30-yard half-volley, and Luke Broderick struck the crossbar following a corner.

Ultimately, we held on for a strong 8-1 victory to continue our bright start to the 2025 season!
