We kept our boots on the accelerator, continuing to create pressure as we searched for a second goal. Great interplay between Scarlett Premerl and Tonia-Marie Rantucci was proceeded by a floated Kaho Nakadate cross and a fine effort from Meaghan McElligott.
On the 25th minute, we broke the deadlock in style. A glorious threaded switch of play from Meaghan McElligott swung away from the defender and into the path of Alyssa Cox’s run. Alyssa cut inside deftly before dispatching a direct shot into the top left corner with composure. A beautiful goal.

Souths United stuck back immediately following the restart. A piercing strike rifled into the top left corner from the edge of the box sent a warning. We battled back and forth for fifteen minutes, but our strength prevailed, and Meaghan McElligott restored our three-goal margin with a sharp finish, which followed a brilliant first touch and release from Mariel Hecher!
