Our Lions seized a crucial three points in an end-to-end clash against Thunder, fighting to overturn an early goal and leaving Toowoomba with a comprehensive victory.

A quick recovery after falling behind and a composed performance in our own half saw our Lions walk away with a win.
A fast start from our energetic hosts saw Thunder slide into the lead within the opening ten minutes through Daniele Ferri. Our response was immediate and set the tempo for the rest of the match, with Cooper Nichols guiding a first-time strike into the bottom left corner after an intelligent pass from Matt Ridenton.
We completed the comeback before the break, with Ryo Ono scoring his first goal in orange after calmly dispatching a penalty he had won. Aiden Munford showed up with a collection of excellent saves to ensure the lead remained intact.
With individual quality, Ivan Ozzi doubled our lead immediately after the restart, winning possession high before shielding off his opponents and striking the ball across the keeper from a narrow angle. Ryo Ono sealed the result, forcing an own goal after a furious cross from the by-line.
