With the chance to secure Finals Football and keep our Premiership hopes alive, our Lions Women travelled down the M1 to face Gold Coast Knights on a late, cold Wednesday night.
We showed our intention early, with Anna Soulsby forcing an early save, and Stella Campbell made a superb diving save to push a powerful shot away from danger!
The breakthrough came early, with Scarlett Premerl firing into the bottom left corner after the ball landed in her path after Teagan Hugo’s delivery!

We entered the break with a slender 1-0 lead to build on.
A great run off the shoulder saw Anna Soulsby drag her shot wide, and within ten minutes of the restart, Evelyn Calhoon scored the best goal you’ll see all season. A phenomenal 50-yard strike, buried in the top left corner off the crossbar!

With a three-goal lead established and Knights desperate for a response, Stella Campbell made a stellar one-v-one save to preserve the cleansheet.
