It was an intense battle at Luxury Paints Stadium, with our Lions Women eager to avenge our recent 2-2 draw on the road against the Bulldogs.
Scarlett Premerl continued her vibrant form, finding the breakthrough with a close-range volley after an initial deflection!

The moment was short-lived, and Capalaba responded with a banger to make it 1-1.
A great run and cutback from Scarlett Premerl found Evelyn Calhoon, but her first-time effort was blocked. Then it was a genuinely insane diving save from the keeper that prevented Teagan Hugo from scoring a banger, and our Lions Women entered the break on equal terms.
Strong after the break, Amy Gunston steered a bullet header wide of the bottom left corner. Amy then sent a powerful effort over the crossbar, and with time ticking away, Anna Soulsby slotted us ahead with a clinical finish!

With ten minutes remaining, our Lions Women were awarded a penalty, and Anna Soulsby converted with no error to double our advantage!
We saw out a thorough 3-1 victory at home.
