Our Lions Women wasted no time taking ownership of the game at Luxury Paints Stadium. We dictated the tempo in the opening quarter-hour while looking for an opening to shoot and found our breakthrough within twenty minutes.
Shianna Singh tucked a sharp first-time shot inside the near-post after a quick cutback from the right flank! It marks her first goal in Lions colours!

Elli Chapple made a sturdy save at her near post as the visitors looked for a quick response, and a sweeping team move ended with a smart save as Scarlett Premerl looked to double our advantage.
She managed to do so sixty seconds later. Scarlett stroked a composed effort across the keeper and tightly in the bottom right corner after a great run down the left!

A goal again on the brink of half-time saw Scarlett Premerl tap her second goal from close range.
We entered the interval with a dominant 3-0 lead to build upon.
We wasted absolutely no time building on our momentum. Shianne Rosselli finished calmly at the back post after another brilliant team move unlocked the Lakes’ defence.
Scarlett Premerl searched for her hattrick before the hour mark, beating the keeper with a powerful half-volley from distance but guiding the effort wide. A fine diving save minutes later saw her once again denied.
Tara O’Keeffe scored her second goal of the season as we demonstrated our best football to make it 5-0. A smart run off the shoulder and a measured finish under the keeper!

Kiersten Yuhas made it six with a firm strike at the rear post, and Elli Chapple made a crucial save to preserve our Clean Sheet.
We kept our intensity up until the final whistle, walking off the field with a brilliant 6-0 victory in our first game in almost a month. A strong and unified display and an important result as we set our sights on the top of the NPL table!
